WP2 Paper:
This paper went really well for me. I feel that I have improved a lot since WP1. There were a lot of questions being asked in the prompt, but I was able to answer them all. I focused a lot on the author's moves and the rhetorical devices. This seemed to be the most important subject to me and I'm really happy with how much detail I included for this part of my essay. I struggled with fitting in a lot of quotes from the course reader. I really only found about two quotes from the course reader to use within the essay that related back to the essay. Overall though, I feel that this project went well! The best advice that I received yesterday during peer review was that I needed to work on my thesis. It did not fit the flow of my paper and I redid the entire introduction paragraph. I like how it came out in the end!
I think it's great that you could answer all the questions but still emphasizing certain points. It was definitely initially overwhelming for me when I saw the prompt since there were so many questions. However, the key to answering everything and still effectively executing your message is to emphasize some points more than others. I also agree that integrating quotes from the course reader was a bit hard.
ReplyDeleteI feel you on the difficulty including multiple quotes from the course readings! That was one of the most difficult parts for me too. I also Fell like I improved from the WP1, because I was able to build off of the constructive criticism I got. Like yourself, I also focused on the author's moves and talked about how they function rhetorically!

ReplyDeleteThe quotes for the course readings was hard for me too. I do feel better about this one too. Answering all he questions seemed a little intimidating at first but once you take it piece by piece I feel like it gets a lot easier, I'm glad you answered everything too. Really getting your point across can be hard when there is so much else going on but the fact that you felt better about this one shows improvment so good work!
